Emerson Fry cuts the Tulip from organic indigo hemp cotton — which is exactly where the denim impression comes from — with a proper trouser front, a button and zip fly, and slant pockets that lie flat instead of gaping. The clever part is round the back: a partial covered elastic waistband, so it sits where it should without a single fitting-room negotiation. Patch pockets behind, a 31" inseam, a finished hem.

It's slightly relaxed through the hip and long and lean from there down. This is the updated fit of their best-selling pant — broken-in soft, good drape, and it packs and re-wears all week without complaint.
