Cou Cou make one fabric and build everything from it — a bespoke 100% organic cotton pointelle, designed in London. The Tanga is the minimal end of the range: a G-string back cut to sit flat and stay out of the way.

It disappears under slips, trousers and vintage denim, which is the whole brief. Pointelle breathes in a way synthetic microfibre does not, and it is the reason this is the pair that ends up in rotation rather than the drawer.
