The Check Denim Mini reads as a classic denim skirt from across the room: clean A-line, welt pockets, contrast topstitching. Up close it's a linen-cotton blend with a soft denim-look finish and a printed check running through it, which means it moves and breathes like linen rather than sitting stiff the way real denim does.

The conversion is the standard European one rather than the brand's own, so go by the waist measurements in the size guide if you're between sizes — on a skirt, the waist figure is the one that decides it. A note on where these numbers come from, because it matters: The Tiny Big Sister does not
publish a size chart or a US conversion. The US column above is the standard European
conversion, and it lines up with a US stockist of this same line, which lists EU 34 as a
US 2 and EU 42 as a US 10. The waist figures are published by a UK stockist, not by the
brand. Treat both as a good guide rather than the brand's own word.

European numbers are not consistent between brands - a French label and a Spanish one can
put the same number a full size apart - so go by the measurement rather than the number if
you can. This is a skirt, so the waist figure is the one that decides it.
