The leg is enormous, in the best possible way. It starts high on the waist, skims the hip through vintage panel seaming, then opens all the way out to a 24-inch hem that moves like a skirt when you walk. The horn buttons running up the front are the kind of detail you notice on someone else and immediately want for yourself.

Basically: a white tee and a flat sandal now, a big sweater and a boot in November, something slinky on top when you want the jeans to do all the talking.

The 33-inch inseam is cut long, so there is room for a heel or a platform. There is a hint of stretch in the denim, which is what makes a high rise this tall sit comfortably all day.
