Kat sizes underwire styles by band and cup range rather than by a single number. Bra band numbers are the same in US and UK.

S = 32B, 34A-B
M = 32C-D, 34C
L = 32DD, 34D, 36C
XL = 34DD-E, 36D-DD

Kat also grades this style XS (30A, 32AA-A), 2S (30DD-F, 32E-F), 2X (34F, 36E-F, 38DD) and 3X (36G, 38E-F). Note that 2S is not smaller than S - it is a small band with a large cup.

If you are between sizes, Kat recommends going up a size for extra comfort.
